Book 1 of the Secret Warrior Series
GENRE: YA Fantasy  Romance
Seventeen year old Morgan Daniel has been in the witness protection program most of her life. But The Panteras have caught up with her and her younger brother. Her car is totaled, she’s hurt, and the street gang is closing in when wolves with glowing eyes appear out of nowhere and chase away the killers.

Then a very cute guy who handles a bow like Robin Hood emerges from the woods and takes them to safety at his fortress-like home. And that’s just the first sign that Morgan and her brother have entered a hidden world filled with secrets.

Excerpt:

“Should we stay, or go while the smoke lasts?” The cloth muffled her voice.
“You can hardly walk.”
She couldn’t argue that point. Neither could they wait to be found. “The Panteras won’t give up until we’re dead.”
“Maybe they think we are,” he argued under his breath.
“Maybe.”
She suspected Mateo would demand a body, even a charred one. Make that two. She and Jimmy didn’t have much choice, though, other than to crouch in dread while the fire crackled.
“Next birthday, I want an AK-47.” He nudged her. “Look.”
She fixed her blurry gaze on what appeared to be a black wolf emerging from the trees. The creature was larger than she’d thought wolves were, and she’d understood none remained in these mountains. They were all farther north or west. Somewhere else.
Apparently, she was misinformed.
Judging by its size, she guessed this was a male. He stopped before their hideout. Eyes the color of red coals surveyed them before he turned and darted down the trail she’d spotted.
“Holy cow, Batboy. Did you see that?” she whispered.
Jimmy didn’t reply. He prodded her again.
She stared at the big brown and gray wolf that took the black one’s place. Where on earth had he come from?
The beast turned its furry head at her and Jimmy. His eyes shone with a luminous light, like fireflies…

EXCERPT

Berta was nervous. She stood on the porch and stared out at the pitch dark night. Living in the farmhouse in the middle of nowhere with her Leprechaun lover had been pure bliss for the past three months.

The Clurichauns, who’d beaten Reghan and had abandoned their pursuit only when Berta’s dog and a team of coyotes had driven them away, had left Berta and Reghan in peace once their leader had realized Berta was carrying Reghan’s child. Every day the couple had grown more in love, and every day she’d learned something new and wonderful about her lover. But now Reghan’s father had sent word that a delegation was on its way to get them and bring them home.

The screen door creaked and then clicked shut as Reghan stepped onto the porch behind Berta. He slid his strong arms around her slightly bulging middle. He brushed aside her long blonde hair and kissed her neck. “My parents aren’t ogres, you know.” His voice was a low rumble vibrating against her skin.

“Are there such things as ogres?” “There are…but there aren’t many in these parts…not anymore,” he said.

“But there were?” Berta still couldn’t quite make herself believe that Reghan’s being a Leprechaun wasn’t just some elaborate hoax. When he spoke of other “mythical” beings so offhandedly, she didn’t know what to think.

Reghan didn’t look like she’d have imagined a Leprechaun to look. He wasn’t a tiny little man with a green top hat, buckles on his shoes, and a pot of gold in his hand. In fact, he was a rather large man with dark red hair, bright blue eyes, and a neatly-trimmed beard. His handsome face and chiseled body might’ve made some women think he was a demi-god, but Berta doubted anyone’s—at least, any human woman’s—first thought upon seeing Reghan would be, “Hey, look! A Leprechaun!”

“Don’t try to change the subject,” Reghan murmured against her neck. “You have nothing to fear from my parents.”

“What if they don’t like me?” she asked, for what had to be the hundredth time.

“They’ll love you.” He turned her to face him. “Now come back to bed and make love to me again before the delegation arrives.”

“A delegation,” Berta said. “The very fact that they’re sending a delegation to get us terrifies me.”

Reghan tilted her chin up. “You worry too much.”

Update on a few Writing Projects

Well April was one of those months were I am waiting to hear back on submissions I sent in.

Moonlight Masquerade, my short M/M Contemporary (formally in the anthology, On Valentine’s Day) is at publishers for consideration.

Finding Home, my extended M/M Paranormal story (formally in Hot Summer Fun anthology) is just about to go out for submission consideration. Just finishing up the few issues I discovered with my last pass through it.

I am a quarter way through The Magic of Love (Devon Falls Book #6) and I am eager to get this one to my publisher by June for a possible Christmas release this year. This is the book of my heart where I give the readers a story of strength from the ashes, a phoenix rising sort of thing. I am looking forward to sharing this one with you as well.

After that one is done I am thinking of going back to fantasy with a story about magic, wizards, quests and of course, romance. Or another Devon Falls book since I have a few characters clamoring for their stories…or I can finally finish those pesky downright naughty space pirates that keep having me bang my  head against the wall.
Whatever I do, I hope you, readers, join me on this journey as I try to up my writing schedule in between doctor appointment, family/kids, work and real life. 🙂 Thank you for buying my books and for enjoying them.

Tease into Kelli Wilkins’ Ultimate Nights Delight

Ultimate Night’s Delights…New Sizzling Historical/Fantasy from Author Kelli A. Wilkins

Ultimate Night’s Delights

Julian and Annabelle are back for the final ball!

The Marquis of Demby’s Midsummer and Midwinter Balls changed Julian and Annabelle forever. Freed from their inhibitions, they now help other shy couples explore their sexual urges and hidden desires. But life on Vincent and Sabrina’s estate is anything but tranquil. The notorious Duke of Blackwell has discovered the secret about the naughty balls and is out to destroy the marquis.

Vincent refuses to deny the rumors about the “anything goes” parties he hosts, and turns to his friends for assistance. Together, they devise a plan to defeat the Black Duke…and still find time for a few erotic games.

Excerpt:

Annabelle knelt on the tile floor in front of Vincent and drew his prick into her mouth. Hot and thick, it tasted like the minerals in the bathwater. She grasped his buttocks as she sucked him

“Ah, that’s it. Go on,” he whispered. “Take more.”

She opened her mouth wider and drew him in deeper. When they had approached the bed, Vincent told her to get him hard so he could fuck her properly. Lono—or Lobo—stood at the head of the bed staring straight ahead as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. Sometimes Lono and Lobo participated in the games, but mostly they watched. Even when she tried to get a rise out of them, they barely noticed her.

Annabelle peeked at the other bed. Sabrina sat on the edge and Julian was on his knees, his blond head buried between her thighs. Would they switch partners later? She looked forward to making love with Sabrina. Their kissing and touching in the bathing pool had gotten her excited.

“Stop. Get on the bed,” Vincent said.

She obeyed and lay on her back, legs parted. Vincent knelt over her and picked up a jar of cream from the nearby table. He scooped out a handful and smeared it all over her shaved pussy, making her cry out. The hot lotion! She and Julian had used this before—it burned and prickled when it was first applied, but after a minute it made everything fiery hot and made you eager to screw for hours.

Vincent pulled two silk straps out from beneath the red coverlet. He opened her legs wider and fastened each ankle to the bedpost. Now she was completely open to him.

Annabelle squirmed on the soft mattress as Vincent climbed on top of her. This would be fantastic. Vincent’s cock was hard, and she couldn’t wait to feel him inside her. Having her legs tied would add to the thrill.

“Lobo, take her arms,” Vincent said.

Lobo grasped her forearms in his wide hands. He stretched her arms over her head, holding her immobile.

“Thank you,” Vincent said as he plunged into her.

Annabelle rocked her hips in time to meet Vincent’s solid thrusts. The cream filled her with a blazing lust. She strained against Lobo’s grip, desperate to wrap her legs around Vincent’s hips. Instead, she had to remain bound and at his mercy.

Reviews:

5/5 Stars

“…This was every bit as wonderful as the first, romance, sex and the constant presence of evil.  Will Torin and Steph find what Akila and Sable have? Is there hope of a mating between a sentinel and a human? Are they compatible enough to have children together? Well, I can’t wait for the next book so I can get some more answers and meet another hunky alpha and another amazing potential mate.”–Linda Tonis (Read complete review at Paranormal Romance Guild)

5/5 Stars

“Torin DuMont is larger than life, and commands attention from the first moment we meet him. He’s brash and very much an alpha male. Stephanie Bates is a hard-butt Real Estate Attorney, with some issues of her own to work out. From their first meeting these two bring out the best, and worst in each other. Their exciting adventure is full of many unexpected twists. The book will grab your attention and run away with it. Dariel Raye certainly knows how to keep the pages turning. A little over descriptive at times, but that only adds to her unique writing style. Overall Torin is a wonderful addition to the Dark Sentinel Series. Readers who enjoyed the first one {Sable}, will be blown away by this sequel. Well done, Dariel.Catrina Barton, Amazon Reivewer

5/5 Stars

“Loved this book, a lot of my questions were answered in this book. The first book was good but left me frustrated with so many questions. I’m looking forward to the third book in this series. I think this story will only get better with each book!”–AlabamaGirl, Amazon Reviewee

 Teaser Excerpt:

Who Are The Dark Sentinels?

They lived millions of years ago, fatalities of fear and prejudice. Now, answers to a prayer for survival, they are among us again. Other shifters were nearly extinct, murdered by the thousands at mostly human hands. Capable of shifting at will, without the aid of the moon’s phases, they were born to protect them. Bigger, stronger, faster, and longer living, with highly developed preternatural abilities, they are prized outsiders among their packs. Prized for their ability to protect, yet destined to live as outsiders because of the very differences necessary to prevent the pack’s extinction.

Born to stand at the crossroads between pack-members and their slaughterers, Sentinels quickly learn that they are on their own – a different species. Born human, only two are born to each pack, male and female alphas, brother and sister. Pack members deny them mating privileges within the pack based on fear. No female wants to bear a sentinel because their lives are constantly at risk. When danger comes to the pack, they are on the front line, considered expendable.

When they reach mating age, they leave the pack for a time to find a mate – another sentinel. What happens when a sentinel develops feelings for a human? What happens when malevolent scientists learn how to strengthen humans by using sentinel blood?  As you can imagine, with their feral nature barely beneath the surface, their wolf barely sheathed, dark sentinel passions run high. Touch, affection, and loyalty are necessary for their survival, and they are willing to go to extraordinary measures, risk everything, and break every rule for love.

Torin didn’t have to leave his spot against the wall to overhear Cindy and the unavailable Ms. Bates, despite the fact that they were intentionally speaking softly.

“…I tried to reschedule, but he won’t…and he won’t leave either! Steph, you haven’t seen him. He’s huge, and he walked in looking pissed—not a good combination. I started to call for James to escort him out of the office, but I like James, so…”

Both women shared a laugh. “No, no need for all that. You offered him another appointment. If he chooses to wait, let him wait. I’ll deal with him if he doesn’t get tired and leave.” She laughed again. “I keep saying I need a peephole in this door. You’ve piqued my curiosity now. Wish I could work him in. I’m eager to meet one of these Wild Landers I keep hearing about but never seem to run into any.”

“For the most part, they pretty much keep to themselves, but believe me, you’ll know when you see one.” Cindy sighed. “Guess I’ll go back out here and try to work while he’s glaring at me. I doubt he’s going anywhere, Steph. He seems like the stubborn type.”

“Don’t worry, Cindy. If he’s still there when it’s time for you to leave, I’ll speak to him myself and try to reschedule. In the meantime, just ignore him. Maybe he’ll take the hint and leave.”

* * *

Torin stepped outside several times to stretch his long legs, finding fewer clients waiting for Ms. Bates on each return. He’d overheard everything the lawyer and her receptionist said, but it wasn’t what she had said that bothered him; it was the timbre of her voice itself—soft, smooth, and lilting—that elicited an immediate response. Puzzled by his own involuntary reaction, he wanted to hear more of it, like a cobra drawn helplessly and nonsensically to an oboe.

He sensed the sun had gone down before he stepped over to the small window and looked out. Even in the complete darkness, his eyes did not fail him, and he saw the grounds as clearly as if daylight greeted him. Finally, one man remained in the waiting room with him, but it was well after six p.m.

He picked up the pleasant scent of mint, lemongrass, and lilies and turned just in time to see shapely legs, a voluptuous body full of promise. The warm, mocha-colored face wasn’t bad either. Clearly, it was the owner of the musical voice. His wolf bristled beneath his skin, forcing an internal battle just to remain civilized. Confusion increased his frustration. He’d never reacted to a female this way before, and certainly not a human.
