Thomas has reached a point in his life where he is done with bounty hunting. He is finally ready to take the step in following his dream and hopefully put his family back together. However, before that happens, he has to rescue his neighbor—the woman he has been lusting after—from unsuspecting danger that lurks at every corner.
Wen has been in love with her neighbor, Thomas, for the last six months. Yet, with his schedule and her inability to welcome a new relationship, Wen is certain that her love will stay hidden. It does, until she learns that she’s being followed. Not wanting to intrude on her family, she calls Thomas.
Can Thomas rescue Wen and his dream? Or will danger permanently keep him from both?
When Thomas heard the shots ring out he did not hesitate to charge toward the gunfire. It was built into him just as it was built into Jefferson and Alek. They all knew Keylee was out in the front, but it wouldn’t have mattered if the place were empty, because the very idea that there was danger sent them into action.
Each of them had put in their time to serve their country. Coming to the aid of others was something natural. When they reached the front of the building, what he saw nearly sent him to his knees. Though they’ve seen horrendous things in life, the image of Keylee on the floor, face down, arms stretched out, was something he could have gone without seeing.
He glanced at his brother, Jefferson, sharing the same nonverbal image of seeing Keylee strapped to a chair naked and bleeding while a psychopath held her captive. Those images reared forward as he stood there for a brief second before rushing over to Keylee and the blonde woman who was under her.
As soon as the explanations and planning were taken care of, Alek left with the blonde woman named Tess, while he and Jefferson talked with Keylee. Thomas knew exactly how the conversation would go. However, it did not stop him or Jefferson from making their points known. It was a big brother thing.
Finally having everything settled to a certain degree, Thomas and Jefferson left the building and walked to their cars. Thomas thought long and hard about sending Keylee on this trip. Yes, it was their job to catch criminals, but holy hell, this guy was supposed to be innocent. Something on this caliber was unprecedented. He could only hope that Alek knew what he was doing when he agreed to this deal.
This situation was not about his lack of belief in Keylee. It was more to the fact that he wanted to keep her close and safe.
“I don’t like it, Thomas, I really don’t,” Jefferson said as they approached their vehicles in the back alley.
“You and me both, but you saw the look in her eyes and you heard Alek. We have to trust him and her.”
Review From As You Wish Reviews:
I’ve never read anything like Bounty’s End. It’s the perfect Romance that starts with a single touch. After the last page you will want to see how their life continues. It’s exciting to know Thomas’ version of Bounty for Hunter (the first book) plus an extension of his own love life.
Thomas is the middles child of his bounty hunting family which includes his older brother Jefferson and his younger sister Kaylee, and Alex their boss although he is part of their family. Like in the first book Kaylee accepts the job to protect a man named Hunter who’s gotten involved accidentally with dirty cops. They’re after him and Kaylee’s there to protect him. Throughout the book Thomas goes through an internal struggle to protect his baby sister and the woman he’s fallen in love with. With all thats going on he wants out of the business, he has plans and he can only hope his family follows him on them. After the misshapen of dirty cops, action and kidnapping… What will be the outcome of his Bounty hunting family? Will he finally woo the woman he’s admired for months? Will his family accept his plans to change their bounty hunting lifestyle?
Reading Bounty’s End makes you think of the things that can really happen in real life, not just things that happen in TV or in movies. Such as Kidnappings, murder, crimes. We never expect those things to happen until they actually affect us. Only reading the book will you find out if we really are as naive as we think. This action packed romance will have you spellbound for more.
AJ Wiliams lives in Kansas City Missouri with her husband and two children, and their faithful dog. She grew up in Arizona and at the age of eight, her mother brought her to Missouri to be close to family. As an only child, AJ had to learn how to entertain herself. Writing was an escape from an isolated life she led as the only child with her parents. Living in a small town also proved to create lots of stories. Like most small towns, everyone knew everyone.
As she grew older her writing took on a new life.
By the age of thirteen, she had written several poems about her family and about growing up. Reading and music also became an outlet for her. AJ loves listening to everything from the classics of Mozart to System of a Down to even Indie music such as Lana Del Rey and Florence and the Machine. That love of music has continued on, influencing her and the stories she likes to write.
