Hi and welcome to my blog, Megan D. Martin. Please make yourself at home and grab a drink from my hunky cabana boys, Zeke and Jake.
Hello Raine, thank you for having me. Oooh Zeke… call me. *winks*
To get us started can you tell us a little about what you are working on or have coming out?
My debut novella Forbidden Angel just released yesterday with Breathless Press. It’s a historical holocaust romance set in a concentration camp. Two very unlikely people find themselves falling in love—against all odds and perhaps better judgment.
How would you describe yourself using only five words?
I would say—funny, loud, insightful, caring, and strange.
If you could write a warning label for yourself as a person or an author, what would it say?
I’m going to go with what is probably common, but definitely necessary for my author self, lol.
Warning: Explicit Content
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Of course. Snickers ice cream (Yum!) and any book by Kresley Cole.
Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
I am a bearded lady. Forever with a beard… not.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
In the little Texas town I have always resided in. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
How do you get yourself in the mood to write?
Writing has always been my dream, so I just remind myself that I will never get a contract if I don’t sit down and put fingers to keys, (haha).
Can you share with us your typical writing day. Is there anything you have to have while writing?
I have a young son so writing doesn’t usually take place until after he goes to bed. I like for things to be quiet and have a Dr Pepper within reach.
Who are some of your favorite authors?
As I mentioned earlier, I absolutely love Kresley Cole. I am also a big fan of JR Ward and Johanna Lindsay.
What is in your To Read Pile that you are dying to start or upcoming release you can’t wait for?
I am looking forward to reading Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling as well as A Vengeful Affair by Carmen Falcone.
Is there something special you do to celebrate when one of your books is released?
I go out and have dinner with my family.
Do you have a favorite TV show you can’t miss?
Yes, The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries.
If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why-no it doesn’t have to be from your books?
I would definitely choose Lothaire a character in Kresley Cole’s IAD series. I love that sexy vamp!
What is the strangest source of writing inspiration you’ve ever had?
Probably my dreams. It’s funny how the weirdest dreams trigger the best ideas!
If your muse were to talk behind your back, what secrets would he/she tell?
She would talk about just how scandalous I can be, and tell all about how she had to purchase a handheld fan just to cool off when I’m writing a particularly spicy scene.
Thanks for coming. Is there anything else you want to add?
Thank you for having me! See you next time.
When captured by the Nazi’s, Sarah finds herself in a concentration camp that not only brings her closer to death…but closer to love.
Sarah Brenner, a young Jewish woman, is terrified when she finds herself in the heat of a railcar bound for a work camp in Nazi Germany. For years she, along with her mother and sister, had hidden from the SS, but no one could hide forever. Her hatred for those who have enslaved them is ever-growing, especially when they arrive and she encounters the shockingly handsome Nazi doctor who can’t seem to keep his eyes—or hands—off her.
Aurel Rothstein is not your everyday concentration camp physician. The endless prisoners and lack of care he’s allowed to give have made him numb to the work he so coveted. It isn’t until he comes face to face with a beautiful prisoner that his heart becomes involved with his job—a forbidden and fatal move to any Nazi.
When a vile soldier takes direct interest in Sarah, she will be forced to make a choice that will change her life forever: ignore the pull toward the handsome doctor or give in to the forbidden passion he awakens with only a look. Either way they both risk everything…
