Here it is…..

Dust coated parts but otherwise it looked as if it was stuck together with lots of duct tape and prayers. Granted it was clean but man, she thought to herself, why did I have to pick a ship that looked as if it would fall apart if a solar flare came near it? Knowing time was the essence; she heaved her backpack more securely on her shoulder and tried to find a spot deep in the belly of the ship to hide in.  She didn’t want those two tall guys finding her before the ship took off. Even if they looked like a girl’s wet dream. Snap out of it girl. You are not here for a sexcapade but to help find Reggie. Now get a move on before those guys get back here. Moving quickly, she finally found a space in the back of the cargo hold. Swiftly opening the door she held her breath as it opened without a noise and she set foot in her temporary home. It was dark, musty smelling and her nose kept twitching like she was going to sneeze.

  1. From “Aphrodite’s Gift” (C)2012

“Look,” Ginger said, pointing to a little shop next to the restaurant. “The Witch’s Hat. Could be interesting. You want to go inside and check it out?”

No. Not really. Why would I be interested in magic, she thought. “Sure, why not.”

“It must be new. I’ve never seen the place before. Maybe we can get a love spell for you,” Ginger quipped, giving Violet’s arm a little nudge.

Violet rolled her eyes. “I don’t think so. I don’t know anything about magic, but I know enough to know you’re not supposed to mess with love spells.”

  2. From Taming Raven WIP by Kitty DuCane. I swear this is by the formula.

Deac blinked. “What kind of a name is Raven?” In his mind, Deac pictured a black bird that was nothing but a nuisance with a cry that reminded him of fingernails down a chalkboard. And then there were the wild tales that ravens hunted with wolves, shared the kill, and some legends even preached that the raven would peck out your eyes. No werewolf wanted his eyes pecked out. This had to be a bad omen.
“It’s the name she took when they found her. Nobody knows her real name. She says she has amnesia.”

    Thanks. This was fun!
